The President's Club
Member, 2014-2016
The President's Club is a unique organization at Ohio Wesleyan that has a selective acceptance rate. This club was created in order to “improve the interaction between students and faculty both inside the classroom and out”. The following are examples of various positions I have held within the organization.
President’s Ball Committee – Representative, FA 2014. As a representative of The President's Ball Committee, I worked alongside a team to organize, promote, and execute the annual President's Ball, held in honor of students and faculty. My committee worked with roughly a $20,000 budget to complete the event, which was reviewed as the most successful ball held in recent years.
Leadership Development Committee – Co-Chair, SP 2015. I was promoted to the position of Leadership Development because of my commitment to the club's activities in the fall semester. As Leadership Co-Chair, my committee and I worked to host an alumni guest speaker, Mike James. Mike James is a 1987 graduate who is currently CEO of Fireproof, which is a storage management company. During the talk, Mr. James shared various mechanisms he uses to stimulate balance in his work-home life. He emphasized the importance of teamwork, communication, and efficiency. We thank Mr. James for helping us in another successful event that took part of the Leadership Series.
Membership Committee – Representative, FA 2015/SP 2016. As a rising senior, I was selected to this committee to facilitate the membership review and selection process for incoming members in the spring of 2016.
